Well, the kids go back to school this week.

You know, we have four, and so that's like Christmas for Laura and myself, really?

Everybody gets excited at Christmastime because they get presents. This is our present. Our kids go to school. Woo! Can't wait. You know, this generation

really values children. We had a speaker come and talk during staff week at the Baptist General Convention of Texas

on the different generations. And I don't know if you've heard these kinds of talks, but they

usually go through the different tendencies of the boomer generation versus the silent generation

versus the millennial generation or generation X, Y, whatever it is. You know, they come up with

new names for the different generations.

And the tendency of some generations to kind of swing from one side to the other.

And this generation, the one now that's raising kids in the home, typically more the

millennial type of generation, sometimes have been criticized as being kind of helicopter

parents, you know, those kinds of parents

that kind of hover over their kids that are involved in their kids' lives, maybe a little bit

too much involved in their lives, kind of making their whole schedule and everything

surround their children and involve their children, everything of their lives.

And you don't have to have a sociologist teach you this.

You just need a laptop to look at Facebook.

And you can see this because usually when you get on to Facebook, you see pictures of what?

Kids.

You see messy kids?
