The I'm not only the same. On Friday 21st of August 2026, it will be time to step out of the fiction once again

and onto the very real streets of Binghamton, New York,

for Sailing Fest 2026. But this year, it's not just Sailing Fest, it's Sailing Fest X,

a special celebration marking a whole decade since fans started gathering to honour the life and legacy of Rod Serling.

There is something very special about walking the very streets that Rod Sailing strolled through,

riding the carousel in Recreation Park and standing shoulder to shoulder

with other twilight's own and sailing devotees beneath the shadow of his statue.

A monument made possible in part by the generous donations of fans just like us. It's as if for a weekend every one of us

finds our tribe. Now every year that Sailing Fest rolls around, it grows. More fans, bigger names,

more writers and filmmakers paying homage to the man who invited us to step into the

fifth dimension. And true to form this year is no exception. So who is said to appear at

Sailingfest X in August? Let's check out some of that guest list. First and foremost, we have

members of the Sailing family themselves, Rod's daughter and Sailing, author of the beautiful

memoir, as I knew him, my dad Rod Sailing. Now I've had the privilege of sharing some genuinely warm

conversations with Anne over the years. And also this year we have Rod's daughter, Jody, who I

finally met at Sailing Fest in 2024, and I have enjoyed some lovely interactions with her since. Now if you're familiar with the

tale of the Odyssey of Flight 33, then you'll know that Rod's brother, Robert Sailing, had a hand

in crafting that episode, a very successful man in his own right and he had a great career as an airline pilot.

Now, Robert's son, Jeff Sailing, now plays a big part in organizing Sailing Fest as well, and he'll be there too.

Now, there are too many to mention in this podcast alone, but I will just mention some of the people who I'm excited to meet.
