The There is an observation that I and several others have made that you will have heard over and over again on the podcast when we've been talking about Sirlingfest.

And that is that the program is great. The program is what brings us there and what starts the conversations.

But it's only half the story.

The other half is the people that you meet, the strangers who you instantly feel like you've known for years.

There is no right or wrong way to do this event.

Some people go to sailing fest with a partner or friend and just stick to that.

Some people go with their friends or family in a group and stick to that.

And some reach out and connect with people they know from online who maybe they've never

It's all good, you know, as long as you're there, celebrating rod sailing and all of his

work, then that's the main thing. So last time we heard about the program itself, this time

Hello Tom, I saw all seven films on Friday and four presentations on Saturday before I had to head back to New England for work the next day.

As for Friday, I loved seeing these shows on the big screen.

In that setting, the Caterpillar from Night Gallery was the most impactful.

On TV in a living room, this was a gory horror, but here at Sailingfest, the audience laughed

at the right times and I realised the caterpillar is a dark comedy

from start to finish. On Saturday I liked a video tribute sent in by all including

Bill Moomy and Carol Burnett. The rock music presentation by Gail Flug was wonderful.
