tonight on the Twilight Zone podcast I'm going to share with you the first of maybe two or three

episodes documenting my trip to Binghamton, New York for Sailingfest 2019. Now obviously a lot of

this was recorded on the fly and not in the conditions where I would normally record a podcast.

So there are a couple of sections where the quality is variable. For example, when I first

get to Binghamton, I wanted to document that moment, but it's quite windy, so that does affect

the quality. But bear with me, those clips are only short and things do improve.

So it may happen occasionally throughout, but I would rather put them in and have that full

narrative there than not include them at all.

So that said, tonight I want you to join me on Flight 33 to Sailing Fest, but of course the journey begins at the bus station.

It is about quarter to five in the morning on the 2nd of October and I'm just around the corner from Liverpool bus station.

I've just took myself out of the way just to record an intro to this trip that I'm going to take.

I'll tell you what my plans are in a second.

There's just one thing I want to mention before I go though, that over on the BBC website,

the BBC Radio 4 Extra website, there is a new audio documentary called

You Are Entering Rod Sailings, The Twilight Zone.

And it's a documentary that I was asked to be a part of earlier in the year.

And I did it.

And, you know, you do these things and you're not

really sure how much is going to get used or whether your part is going to be used at all but it

turned out really well you know I was actually used quite a lot in it and there's names like

carol sailing andailing and Richard Donner

in this. So many famous Twilight Zone names and I got to be a part of it. So check that out on the BBC
