Five minutes ago, I was walking down the street looking for a cafe. A left turned down some steps into a basement full of shops.

And I was accosted by a man who was so excited by the sight of our microphone. He'd leapt out of his barber's chair, mid-hair cup, and shuffled me into his shop.

Surrounded by cabinets, stuff full of guitars and violins, I've got a front row seat to a light performance by a guy with half a hair cut and a splot of shaving foam on his cheek.

The final push to eliminate ISIS forces from Syria has begun.
