I love that we, like, at some point we're both going to have to try to do Kathleen Turner's voice, but I just cannot drop the octave down that low because that

But yes, everyone, we are discussing John Waters' ninth feature-length film Serial Mom from 1994,

starring the wonderful Kathleen Turner.

Yeah, this is the kind of movie where you think if John Waters wasn't a cult figure and this was a more mainstream, I mean, I know this is his most mainstream film of all, but this is the kind of performance that you think, in hindsight, this should have been nominated for a bunch of different awards.

Like the Oscars?

I think so. This is such an inspired performance.

Okay, yeah, I could totally... At least a Golden Globe, right? Right? Yeah. Like, if Meryl Streep can get nominated for all of her... I like Meryl Street, but let's be honest, she gets nominated for a bunch of bullshit. And so does Nicole Kidman, like, if if this movie came out I want to say 15 years

later and yeah had this kind of thing going for it this would be nominated for shit just the thing
