wants a blanket confiscation of guns held by his compatriots after a second mass shooting.

The head of Russia's Wagner-Mersonry Group says his forces will leave the bitterly contested

Ukrainian city of Bachmout next week. And Britain's governing conservative party has suffered

losses in local elections that are the first electoral test for the Prime Minister Rishisunak.

We spoke to one woman, she was limping and that's because she still had shrapnel lodged in her leg.

She's travelled for days with that injury.

After two mass shootings in Serbia in as many days, the president Alexander Vucic has promised

to almost completely disarm the country. He said he'll propose removing hundreds of thousands

of weapons from the public and cracking down on illegally owned guns.

The government will pass an amendment to the law on weapons which would tighten the conditions

for holding and purchasing firearms. Everyone who has a license to carry weapons, that's about

400,000 people and I don't mean hunting weapons, will have to have an inspection.

There will not be more than 30 to 40,000 pieces left, so we will carry out the almost complete

disarmament of Serbia, while for a legal possession of weapons the penalties will be doubled.

The president said police would be deployed to schools in response to the first

shooting in which a school child turned a gun on his classmates. And he condemned the second

attack as a terrorist act. A man aged 21 is in custody, suspected of shooting dead eight people
