I mean, well, the defense. The big thing to me is on the defensive side. You know, you guys are talking about Hightower being the second most indispensable player on that team.

And after last night, how do you argue that?

How do you possibly go in another direction?

Like, I mean, I felt that he might even be more important than Brady, just given what's behind each player.

I mean, boy, they just completely imploded and collapsed.

And so to me, what I found most frustrating about the whole thing is that, you know, they looked ill-prepared.

You know, I don't know any other way to say it.

So I don't know whether that's a reflection on Patricia or Belichick or both.

But on that side of it defensively, you've got guys, you know, blowing coverages and giving up plays like that. I mean, that is so unpatriot-like, that is so unpatriot-like for them to just completely be clueless like that on defense. Does it shake your confidence in the team and or the season? Not yet. Not yet. I'm not there yet. I mean, I've seen him have losses, ugly losses before, and they bounce back. I'm worried about the personnel, though, on defense, for sure. I don't know how you can't be worried about, you know, the linebacking core and the middle of that defense when you weigh it out. Who's going to play there other than Hightower? And that's assuming he's healthy now. Obviously, it sounds like a, you know, a sprained MCL or a partially slightly sprained MCL. Okay, but fine, beyond that. Who are you going to rely on in there? Who, Van Nuoy? I felt this way going into the game. I felt this way if they won. I just look at the, don't look at the game. Look at the depth chart.

Look at the roster.

Okay, but did you think it would be that bad?

Well, I mean, it was scary to me is 55.

The new guy from, see how this is the March?

Cassius Marsh, whatever's name is?

Look at how much playing time he got versus David Harris.

Like, that's frightening.

You paid David Harris. You targeted David Harris. David Harris was supposed to be a part of your defense. And it's the guy who's been here five minutes from Seattle for a seventh round pick or whatever that was. And David Harris is barely on the field. I know they were mostly sub, but I mean, the point is,

yeah, that guy's the bottom of the roster fodder. By the end of that game. And he's rolling around as a guy in the second half. This is what I was talking about. That's why I read the depth chart to you so many times in the last week. This is why I read that depth chart. Who do they have there? So that's a take that exists whether they win, lose, no matter what happens. Well, for sure, yeah, for sure. And again, by the end of that game, you look at the personnel on the field, for that matter, I would even say on both sides a little bit, you're looking at the personnel on the field that felt like the end of a preseason game. Not are there are guys running around that you don't know who the hell they are, but they are running around. There didn't seem to be any real structure to it whatsoever. I mean, it was, look, I told you, I would not have, you know, I said this yesterday. I would not have been completely shocked if Kansas City won the game. I think Kansas City is a pretty good team. But I didn't expect that. I mean, that was unbelievable.

So my lead takeaway is that it's amazing to me how easily that could have been a Patriots blowout.
