0:00.0	Hi friends I'm Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the

0:25.9	29. I am reading Matthew 24 through 26 from the new living translation and in the Let's Read the Gospel's guided journal
0:34.4	we are getting toward the end we are on page 187.
0:41.0	Matthew 24 as Jesus was leaving the temple grounds, his disciples pointed out to him the various
0:47.7	temple buildings. But he responded, do you see all these buildings? I tell you the truth they will be completely demolished.
0:54.5	Not one stone will be left on top of another. Later Jesus sat on the mount of olives.
1:00.1	His disciples came to him privately and said,
1:02.6	Tell us when will all this happen?
1:04.9	What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?
1:08.3	Jesus told them, don't let anyone mislead you.
1:11.3	For many will come in my name claiming I am the Messiah. They
1:15.0	will deceive many and you will hear of wars and threats of wars but don't panic.
1:19.0	Yes, these things must take place but the end won't follow immediately. Nation will go to war
1:24.3	against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in
1:28.7	many parts of the world but all this is only the first of the birth pains with more to come.
1:35.0	Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed.
1:37.7	You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers.
1:41.0	And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other.
1:45.0	And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people.
