0:00.0	Hi friends I'm Annie F Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the
0:13.3	parables, the read along in your own Bible or online and then I'll pray and that's it. So today is
0:25.2	day 21 I'll be reading Mark chapter 16 and then Matthew chapters 1 and 2 and the
0:31.6	new living translation and if you've got your Let's read the Gospel's guided 1 and 2 2 in the New Living Translation.

0:40.6	Mark 16.
0:42.4	Saturday evening, when the Sabbath ended, Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and
0:47.0	Salome went out and purchased burial spices so they could anoint Jesus' body.
0:51.3	Very early on Sunday morning, just at sunrise,
0:54.7	they went to the tomb.
0:56.2	On the way, they were asking each other,
0:58.3	who will roll away the stone for us
1:00.2	from the entrance to the tomb?
1:02.0	But as they arrived, they looked up and saw that the stone, which was very large, had already been rolled aside.
1:08.0	When they entered the tomb, they saw a young man clothed in a white robe sitting on the right side. The women were shocked but the
1:15.3	angel said don't be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth who is crucified. He isn't here. He is
1:22.1	risen from the dead. Look this is where they laid his body now go and
1:26.4	tell his disciples including Peter that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee you will
1:31.1	see him there just as he told you before he died. The women
1:34.7	fled from the tomb, trembling and bewildered, and they said nothing to anyone
1:38.5	because they were too frightened. After Jesus rose from the dead early on Sunday morning, the first person who saw him was Mary
