Hi, friends. I am Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month we get to read all four books, so go ahead and subscribe today and join us as we read the Gospels together.

This month is really fun. I love how much you are loving it. Me too, because we're reading not Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, but we're reading the Gospels chronologically from the NIV, the new international version.

So we're reading the stories in the order they took place. So mixing together from all four books most days, including today.

Jesus heals two blind men from Matthew. As Jesus and his disciples were leaving Jericho, a large crowd followed him.

Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted,

Lord, son of David, have mercy on us. The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder,

Lord, son of David, have mercy on us. Jesus stopped and called them.

What do you want me to do for you? He asked.

Lord, they answered, we want our sight. Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes.

Immediately, they received their sight and followed him. Jesus heals blind Bartimaeus from Mark.

Then they came to Jericho. As Jesus and his disciples together with a large crowd were leaving the city,

a blind man, Bartimaeus, which means son of Tameus, was sitting by the roadside begging.

When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me.

Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more. Son of David, have mercy on me.

Jesus stopped and said, call him.

So they called to the blind man. Cheer up on your feet. He's calling you.
