On this day in 1928, serial killer Gordon Northcott was apprehended in Okanagan Landing in British Columbia, Canada.

He had been on the run for five days, ever since his nephew and unwilling accomplice led police to his ranch in

Weinville, California. There they found bloodied knives he'd used as murder
