Hi friends. I am Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New

Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on

earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles. Each month we get to read

all four books, so go ahead, subscribe today. Join us as we read the Gospels

together. Now, normally, y'all know we read three chapters a day to get through the whole

four books in 30 days. But this month is a little different. We are mixing it up and reading the

gospels chronologically from the new international version or the NIV. So we read stories in the order in which they took place,

usually getting something from all four books.

So I'll share the references with you here at the beginning,

and you can find them in the show notes as well.

A woman caught in adultery from John.

Then they all went home, but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

At dawn, he appeared again in the temple courts where all

the people gathered around him and he sat down to teach them. The teachers of the law and the Pharisees

brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus,

Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. In the law, Moses commanded us to stone such women.

Now, what do you say? They were using this question as a trap in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning

him, he straightened up and said to them, let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.

Again, he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
