Hi friends, I'm Annie F. Downs. Let's read the Gospels. The Gospels are the first four books of the New Testament in the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

These are the stories of Jesus Christ's life on earth, the friendships, the parables, the sacrifices, the meals, the miracles.

Each month we read all four books. We usually do about three chapters a day and it'll take 30 days to get through all four books.

So make sure you're subscribed as we do the back half of the month of September.

And this month, as you know, is a little bit different. Instead of doing three chapters a day, we're reading through the Gospels chronologically from the NIV, from the New International Version.

So we're reading the stories and the order they took place, mixing together from all four books a lot of days.

Today is a little different, but I'll share the references with you here at the beginning.

So today is September 16th and I'll be reading John 753, John 8, Luke 10, and then Luke 111 through 13 in the NIV.

A woman caught an adultery from John. Then they all went home, but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.

At dawn, he appeared again in the temple courts where all the people gathered around him and he sat down to teach them.

The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught an adultery.

They made her stand before the group and said to Jesus, teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery.

And the law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say? They were using this question as a trap in order to have a basis for accusing him.

But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger.

1:46.0

When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.

Again, he stooped down and wrote on the ground.

At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left with the woman still standing there.

Jesus straightened up and asked her, woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?

No answer, she said.

2:13.0

Then neither do I condemn you. Jesus declared, go now and leave your life of sin.
