| 0:00.0 | Hello and welcome to today's independent travel podcast with me Simon Gorda, coming to you from |
| 0:08.0 | the South Bank in London. You can hear one of the many sirens in the background, an awful lot of |
| 0:15.7 | activity here and of course many thousands of people queuing to pay respects to the Queen. |
| 0:22.5 | And I've been talking to a number of people today |
| 0:24.7 | who have come to London from various parts of the UK |
| 0:28.1 | in order to pay their respects. |
| 0:32.8 | The news which has broken this afternoon, though, |

| 1:12.6 | There will then be an arrivals ban shortly after that. |
| 1:17.6 | And then crucially, a departures ban which is going to last from 5 past 3 to 440. |
| 1:24.6 | And during that time I calculate 68 flights would normally take off from the UK's busiest |
| 1:32.7 | airport. Now while they are some of them can be postponed or using the delightful Indian |
| 1:42.6 | English word preponed, moved earlier. |
| 1:46.2 | Many of them cannot, not least, because there is also going to be a ban on a reduction in |
| 1:53.5 | the number of departures in the afternoon because of the overflying of Windsor Castle, where |
| 1:59.1 | the committal ceremony for Her Majesty will be taking place. |
| 2:04.8 | The cancellations begin as early as Sunday with some flights not coming in because they will not be |
| 2:11.5 | departing on Monday and similarly some of the departures on Monday will not be coming back on Tuesday because they didn't take off. |
