So this is kind of a special episode of the Paracast for a number of reasons.

One kind of a sad one. again, that in a moment.

We're talking with the authors of a graphic novel called UFO the closest encounter,

the true story of Calvin Parker, which is based on a regular textbook.

It's written by Martin Powell, who's well known

as someone who writes for real

comic books.

Jason believes us the

artwork and Brent Raines

also participated.

But what makes this kind of a sad

episode is the fact that

Calvin Parker died recently from kidney cancer, I believe, and we'd known he'd been ill.

And we're sad to see him go.

So before we talk about this graphic novel, I hope we'll have some of our guests talk about their acquaintanceship with Calvin Parker.

Tim, why don't you go first? Oh, sure. Well, I got to know Calvin just right after his first book

with Flying Dispress was released when he came on exploring the bazaar with myself and Tim Beckley and after that he he really

became a very good friend we spoke quite often emailed talked on the phone appeared together on

several other shows I mean he he was just a great guy and a really good friend.
