Playbook Daily Briefing. The latest weekly Politico Morning Council poll is out this morning

and finds that if the U.S. were to default on its debt, more voters would blame Democrats

over Republicans. The finding comes as Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell is rallying

members to oppose raising the borrowing cap. Ask which party they would blame more. 42% said

both parties. 33% said Democrats and half of that, 16%, said Republicans. 9% said they didn't know.

One note of caution.

The crisis point when it comes to the dead ceiling is still weeks away, and the blame game

has hardly begun.

Here's a question to ponder when it comes to the bipartisan infrastructure framework.

Can the House get to 218 votes?

That's the big question on Capitol Hill, after Speaker Nancy Pelosi made clear her team

would not delay a vote on Monday on the BIF.

The answer to that question depends on the answer to a series of smaller questions.
