And we are continuing through September, 1986, with The Fly and Walk This Way. That's right. So let's get right into The Fly. I love the Fly. This is a really good movie. Really? Yeah. Wow. This is two surprises in a row for me. I thought

I thought you'd kill me on Top Gun. I thought you'd kill me on the fly. This is much better than Top Gun.

This is way better. The Fly is much better than Top Gun. Way better. And anybody who doesn't think that,

you should just like, I don't know, you should continue to listen to the podcast. I'm not going to say anything, but this is way better. Well said, Matt. Uh, yes, this is a really good movie. Um, I like, like, I feel like I like this

movie way more than I should, actually. Well, here's what it does best. Love, but not like, I mean.

Okay. Yeah, go ahead. Matt's, I'm sorry, I'm hyped up to To a wonderful start here, so here's what the movie does best.

It's, I don't know if I've ever seen a movie

with such efficient storytelling.

Yeah.

Right from the second it starts,

you don't even hear the meet.

You basically jump in the middle of a conversation.

Yeah.

Which is a great storytelling technique.

So Cronenberg co-wrote this with, let me find the guy's name, because I want to give him credit,

because I'm sorry, Charles Edward Pogue.

Yeah.

And the two of them wrote it.

Cronenberg, of course, directed this.

It sounds like Cronenberg did a lot of the rewrite, though. The initial story was poe, but then Kronenberg really wanted to tighten up the dialogue.
