Thank you for joining us for another Tuesday's with Trey. This is a treat for me. I have long

0:25.2

enjoyed watching and listening to our next guest. In fact, last night when my wife asked me who

0:30.1

was on the podcast and I told her, first words out of her mouth were, I really like him when I'm

0:36.0

sitting there thinking, well, honey, he's on the other team. He's like, he was a democratic

0:43.0

congress, but she didn't care. And to that point, I don't know whether he and I agree, well,

0:50.4

we probably don't agree on every issue or maybe even most, but he does have a persuasive way

0:56.3

about himself. And he does not engage in ad hominin attacks, even though he's in a line of work

1:02.8

that seems to sometimes reward those who do. He's the former congressman from the great state of

1:08.7

Tennessee. And he'd like me as an average sports fan. So with that, welcome, Mr. Harold Ford Jr. How

1:15.8

are you? Brother, thanks for having me. And so your wife, thank you. I'm married into a Republican

1:23.5

family. And my wife has become a little more Democrat, but my in laws remain staunchly

1:31.1

Republican, but they they tolerate me too. So I'm not sure. I mean, I don't know anyone who

1:37.0

follows politics less than my wife does, but I think she does watch when I'm on. So she sees you

1:43.4

on Brett's panel and she sees you when you're kind enough to come on our show. And I

1:49.1

actually think she speaks for a lot of people. They just they like you personally. It is very,

1:54.9

very hard to not like Harold Ford Jr. personally. I tell you, one of the things in politics,

2:00.8

as you know, and first of all, you you're someone that we didn't get a chance to serve together,

2:06.2

but I watched when watch you in Congress and watch how you conducted yourself. And I was not there

2:14.4

at the time. And I thought for one of one of the great treats of being at Fox now is having a chance

2:19.5

to make make new friends and acquaintances. And I always felt like I knew you because we served

2:25.5

in the same place all the way. We're not there together. Meeting you has been a one of the treats

2:30.6

and one of the joys of being at the network. And I think you said it really well. They outside.
