Life is full of trials. God does not promise us a problem-free life,

but he does promise us to work everything out for our good if we love him.

God allows us to go through difficult times because they make us depend more upon him.

So when things aren't going our way, trust the Lord. He is good all the time and he will

ultimately work things out better than we can even imagine.

Now here's Joyce with today's teaching.

John, no, we're still in John 16-7.

The comforter, the counselor, the helper, the advocate, the intercession, the

strength, or the standby will not come to you into close fellowship with you. Can you say

close fellowship? But if I go away, I will send him to you to be in close fellowship. Say close

fellowship with you. And he said I'll never leave you nor forsake you but

lo I'll be with you always even to the ends of the earth and God is in

heaven Father God is in heaven on his throne in heaven.

Jesus sits at his right hand and the Holy Spirit lives in us,

bringing us the presence of the Father and the Son

and we're to be in close fellowship with him.

You can talk with the Holy Spirit all day long, he wants to lead you and guide you is a wonderful friend. Now Jesus didn't actually start

his public ministry until he was 33. So he trained 33 years for a three-year ministry.

John the Baptist trained 30 years for a ministry that lasted four to five months.

Wonder how many people would be willing to do that.
