And Simon Harrison, my friend and yours. Hello. How's it going? Good, thanks. How are you? Yeah, not too bad. A little bit warm. It is hot here today, isn't it? A little bit. It's unpleasant, yeah. But Simon is here because today we are doing a second edition of the sensible transfers podcast. I don't know if you know, but we've been making videos about this

as well where we pick a football club and we identify problem areas and then suggest solutions

in the form of incoming players, i.e. sensible transfers. And we've been having a bit of fun

with this on the podcast as well. A couple of weeks ago, we asked for listeners to suggest team names

and roles on the pitch. And then Alex went through all of his big databases that he's

drawn on the wall in blood in his bedroom at home, in his parents' house, and picked out the best footballers

that might fill those roles from an analytical point of view as well as from a statistical

point of view.

So the idea is that we are looking for players who are not only good players as individuals,

but will fit the systems that we, the teams that we're suggesting are playing.

And today we're doing a La Liga version,

which is why we've invited our friend Simon here, because he is our La Liga expert friend,

aren't you? Yeah, no pressure. Yeah, not all. I mean, I suppose given the fact that

Realm Madrid have already spent over 300 million, the sensible transfers, he's already been

put to the test. But yeah, definitely. There's a lot to talk about
