Find a comfortable position and take a nice big stretch where you are, focusing on releasing any tension you might be holding in your body

and letting your muscles relax into your bed.

Next, take some deep breaths and clear your mind.

Start by taking a deep inhale,

gathering any drifting thoughts from the day, and exhale fully, breathing them all away.

Once more, inhale and exhale. Allow your mind to focus on the sound of my voice while we continue our story this evening.

Previously Mrs Jennings burst into the bedroom, offering her condolences to Marianne as she had heard

the news of Willoughby's engagement to a Miss Gray in town.

She told Eleanor that the lady had 50,000 a year, which likely accounted for his change of heart.

Some friends were due to dine with them that evening,

and she hoped this may take Marianne's mind off the situation.

Marianne was determined to eat with them against Eleanor's judgment.

She was dressed as well as possible under the circumstances

and ate more than she had at breakfast,

but didn't say a word, before begging her pardon to leave the party early.
