We're so excited to welcome Sherry Franklin, who is the founder and executive director of Mutville Senior Dog Rescue.

I'm so excited about this. This is a groundbreaking organization in San Francisco that has

saved over, I think, 13,000 senior dogs since 2007. Sherry, is that right? 13,000?

Yes. Yes.

Oh, my God.

To even make it more interesting, the first year we rescued 27 dogs and we were working

out of my kitchen.

And now we rescue over 27 every week.

Oh, oh, my God.

See, well, the need was there, but the way we've managed to grow the interest in senior dogs is just incredible.

Oh, my God.

All right.

Well, I have a lot of questions for you.

We have so much to talk to you about, like, why senior dogs are so great, the cage-free sheltering, the Mudville's fabulous new facility and why it's a

real model of an animal shelter as a community center and the role of veganism in animal shelters.

I am thrilled. I'm thrilled to be amongst my people. Yeah, you are. And this is one of your people. This is June. For those of you watching on YouTube, you can see her. I think she's getting blurred out. There you go. She's one of my one of our five dogs. And my wife and I do rescue seniors.
