Summary

The 2026 Senior Bowl delivered underwhelming buzz compared to previous years, but Jagger May and Andrew Mott still found breakout performers and concerning tape. Mike Washington Jr. jumped to RB3 in Jagger's rankings with his 228-pound frame and receiving ability, while D3 sensation Tyren Montgomery from John Carroll measured in at 5'11" and impressed despite the competition level. The biggest surprise? This weak draft class is elevating prospects who simply did what they were supposed to do. Listen to This Episode: 🎧 Apple Podcasts 🎙️ Spotify ▶️ YouTube Garrett Nussmeier won MVP honors and reminded everyone why he was projected as a top quarterback prospect despite LSU's messy season. Linebacker Jacob Rodriguez from Texas Tech showed sideline-to-sideline speed with elite coverage skills, while Missouri edge rusher Zion Young earned defensive MVP. Indiana's Kaelon Black impressed with his 500-pound squat translating to downhill thumping ability, while Oklahoma's Jaydn Ott moved from undrafted territory to day three consideration. Diego Pavia measured in at just 5'9" and showed inconsistent mobility, likely dropping to undrafted status. Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green has the physical tools at 6'6" and 229 pounds but showed poor decision-making. Nick Singleton suffered a broken foot, eliminating combine testing and potentially ending his draft hopes entirely after production already dipped at Penn State. It is officially the Senior Bowl as in it's already passed. It's me and Andrew Mott here with

0:06.0

Draft Nerds and we're going to give our recap over everything that has happened after the Senior

0:11.5

Bowl week and I'm going to be honest this is the most underwhelming senior bowl on every level

0:18.7

that I've ever experienced. I don't know if you felt like that where there's not any buzz.

0:23.6

There's been more prospects allowed than ever over the last two years.

0:27.7

And the guys who did what they're supposed to, did what they're supposed to,

0:32.1

but no real guys that pop.

0:35.3

So I got some winners and losers. It's mainly winners. It's actually not a lot of

0:41.1

people truly pooped the bed. We got a couple of QBs that we knew were like I put in the group

0:46.7

chat. It's a lot of this is like we confirmed that this guy's ass. That's the only thing that

0:52.1

we learned. It's like we confirmed it we knew it we

0:54.7

saw it against competition so we're gonna start out with a guy who's been huge for all of us

1:01.6

or a steady riser even before the senior bowl Mike Washington from Arkansas 6-2-228 pounds

1:08.4

a physical north and south power runner.

1:12.2

I've really liked how deceptive his long speed is.

1:17.3

I mean, he's played 51 games, even like if you look at where he transferred.

1:23.3

He's went to like three different schools.

1:25.1

So he's been a journey man for the most part because

1:28.6

Let's see he went from Buffalo, New Mexico State then to Arkansas. So lots and lots of experience that matters a lot less

1:37.1

He finished Arkansas final season 167 attempts for 1,070 yards

1:43.2

6.4 yards per carry. That's really, really good. Eight rushing touchdowns.

1:49.0

And this is a thing that really separates him for some of the other maybes. It's a 28 receptions, 226 yards and one touchdown.
