Welcome into a special edition to the first draft podcast, couple of days late but it's for good reason as Field Gates, Mel Kuiper and Todd Nick Shea are covering the senior bowl this week. I don't know why I call myself in the first person. I feel like if anybody in this podcast has earned that right, it's probably you Mel. You are not here in the in Mobile, but it's been a good week so far for the senior mall.

I'm watching you guys and I'm gonna be critiquing you guys today during the

podcast especially Todd Todd with some of the ridiculous comments he's been

making but we'll get to that in a minute but I have been watching as much as I

possibly can and it would be nice if you would actually like put your boots on the on the ground and get down to Mobile one of these times.

Not necessarily I got my eyes on the games. I was watching your boy Duane Eschridge back when he was in 2019 playing

quarterback in a 2018 dominating Syracuse so I heard enough to Wayne

Eschridge yesterday from Todd McShea so you can get into your favorite player in the draft

Todd? I ask Ridge has been fun to watch. I'll say this this is probably the best

group over This is probably the best group overall in terms of talent that I've seen at Mobile and at the Senior Bowl in 23 years of doing this. And Field keeps reminding me that I've been doing it for 23 years. I'm

I'm starting to feel really old, but the wide receivers especially,

Thailand Wallace from Oklahoma State, physical guy for only six foot 190.

Nico Collins, six four, two 15,

has been dominating one-on-ones.

Duane Escaridge, as you mentioned from Western Michigan,

the way he gets off of the line of scrimmage,

the way he separates with his quickness and speed is special to watch.

On the other side, Kaderius Tony, he's been injured a little bit, but he's explosive and is just an offensive weapon.

Amari Rogers has played well coming out of Clemson.

Marquis Stevenson has had a good week coming out of Houston and in Shai Smith is a lot like Duane

Eskridge in terms of the quickness and the ability to separate with pure

speed and getting in and out of brakes.
