| 0:00.0 | All right, everybody. Welcome back to the PFF NFL show and welcome back to Mobile, Alabama, where we are here for the 2026 Senior Bowl. Day 2 recap show here for you guys. Trevor Sycambe, Max Chadwick, Dalman, with you guys. And we got a fresh nine names to bring to the table of our favorite standouts that we saw from the day from both the American and the national team, the trenches, the defensive backs, some linebackers, running backs. Everybody stood out today. We got full pads today, fellas. So it was just shells for day once. It was just the shoulder pads. And so, yeah, okay, obviously the pads are cracking. You know, you're getting a little bit of physicality in there. |
| 0:37.8 | But when the full pads are on, that's when the football mentality, I think, really takes a step up. |
| 0:44.0 | And I felt like that was the case today. |
| 0:47.0 | I felt like the intensity all around, the execution, the speed of these practices was a level up. |
| 0:53.8 | Did you guys see the same? Yeah, absolutely. The intensity way higher than yesterday. I think the players get into this mentality. Even the coaches do where it's like, okay, full pads for two days. This is going to be the real thing now. And you could feel it, I think especially on the defensive side of the ball today, that level of physicality was really brought through every part of practice. Yeah, the intensity was higher. Thankfully, the temperature, a little bit higher today too. I don't know about right now. Still shivering a little bit. It was better than yesterday, though. Yesterday I was freezing. I confused Muriela high for David Bailey yesterday because my brain was frozen. My brain was completely frozen. It wasn't. Okay, you're right. It's not that cold. We're not going to do that again. |
| 1:28.4 | Hopefully not. |
| 1:29.1 | Yeah, we'll see. |
| 1:29.8 | But where are you going to start? Who wants us to? You guys, either one of you guys. Tell you what? Tell you what. I'll go with the one name that we did mention yesterday, but he was so good today. I have to mention him again. And in the first practice, we talked about the defensive line dominating really this entire week so far. |
| 1:44.7 | You could feel that in full pads. |
| 1:46.1 | T.J. Parker from Clemson. |
| 1:47.7 | I mean, he is making an absolute statement this week. One of the things I was looking at when watching one-on-one individual drills earlier in the day was coaches really emphasizing the run game and setting the edge in the run game. There was a lot of guys that did that well, but nobody better than T.J. Parker did a really nice job in one-on-ones again, showed the violent hands and the physical nature they placed within. And in team drills, it felt like in that first practice, no runs, just not a single run for the offense went to the outside man. T.J. Parker, guys like Denai Dennis Sutton off the edge too, setting the edge so hard that |
| 2:18.6 | you can see the balance in his game. You know, you talk about pressures and sacks and everything that goes into a pass rush win rates. But the run defense grades for him the last three years have been so consistent. And he's brought that again here. Just planting his feet, setting the edge, getting the long arm going, I was really impressed with just every facet of his game today, |
| 2:34.8 | but especially in full pads |
| 2:36.4 | when teams are trying to run the football now in these practices, they did not let anything get outside. Parker was outstanding again. Yeah, and you see on the screen, 80.7 overall PFF grade this year, it was even better the previous season. We had run defense and pass rush grades, both in the 80s this year. It was in the 70s, so it wasn't as good this year as it was last year. But Max, you're seeing this player really stand out once again. Like he did two years ago. Now we're seeing him stand out again. I said it before. He is the best prospect at the senior bowl right now. I truly believe |
| 3:08.2 | that. I think he's worth a top 25 pick in the NFL draft, if not higher than that. Right now. And you mentioned before, sure, it was a quote unquote down year, but if a down year for you is over 50 pressures and an 80 PFF grade, that's pretty dang good. Right. So T.J. Parker, in his career has 85 plus plus career PFF grades in run defense. And as a pass rusher, I think he's being really underrated right now in this process. I think T.J. Parker is well worth a first round pick. And again, in my opinion, he's the best player of the senior board. Yeah, and what we just had on the screen there for you guys is what you can see if you go to pff.com and go to the big boards. |
| 3:40.5 | So you can search TJ Parker's name. |
| 3:42.0 | That player card comes up. |
| 3:43.0 | It shows you not just the grades that we had from this past season but um the last couple of years as well so you can see the full career you can see is by game breakdown of all the grades and really when you look at that they're just extremely solid like all the way across the board even see the games this year. Yeah, did it |
| 3:57.6 | really stand. Did he earn those elite 90 and above games? No, not this season, but look at it. |
| 4:04.1 | I mean, there's barely any games under 70. Certainly 65 that he had this entire year, and it just |
| 4:10.3 | shows exactly what he's been doing here this week. |
| 4:16.7 | And has he had the flashiest passers reps? |
