Growing up, nearby, where I lived was a small cottage that I really enjoyed visiting.

And if you knew where it was that I grew up, you'd understand why it is that I enjoyed visiting this cottage,

because I didn't really live in a particularly old place. I lived in a relatively new housing estate. You know, all the buildings, houses, nearby,

my childhood home, were fairly new. I don't think many were built before 1970. And so we're talking about, you know, these red brick kind of flat facade,

tile-roved, flat, UPVC window kind of houses, you see.

And so the fact that there was a

Wotland orb, hay-thatched roof cottage,

anywhere near where I lived, was quite unusual and the way that you would get to it was also

kind of unusual as well. So it was nearby my local park, the park where I used to play with my friends, almost every day in summer.

I'm not sure it was the park that was closest to my house, but it was definitely the park that was closest to the

center of all of us to meet. You see what I mean? And so that's where we would go.

And it wasn't a particularly impressive park. I think it was essentially a large square patch of grass, and in one corner was a little play area

with some swings a slide sort of like a jungle gym set up but it was a place to go it was a place to go.

It was a place we could meet.

But just off to one side, the far end of this park was a little path, a little gunnell,

you could call it. that was quite narrow and on either side
