after my mom helped me pick my first terrible apartment in D.C. and I'm a Jersey kid by birth and so worked for the late

Senator Frank Lautenberg from New Jersey kind of early your typical staff assistant answering phones giving capital tours job.

I'll give you the 25 cent tour worked for another member of the Senate.

Got a chance to work on the 2008 presidential campaign was a tracker which if your

listeners really want to be put to sleep is probably one of the most interesting jobs in politics

and it's also responsible for my waistline right now.

I hate trackers by the way.

The candidate trackers were the bane of my existence.

I'm sure, I'm sure, but it's the best front row seat you can get to just politics

and just understanding the whole thing how it works.
