The man in the middle of it all, the man in the arena, as history says, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York, Anna.

It is going to be a very newsy conversation. Of course, he has found himself in the middle of another shutdown conversation.

He is at the center at all. The stakes could not be higher.

He got in a little bit of trouble, let's say, with Democrats back in March when they were in the middle of another government funding fight.

He helped Republicans keep government open.

He said it was the right decision then, and he says right now he's got a lot of demands, effectively a trillion dollars of demands on a seven-week CR, which is incredibly important to note.

And it's going to drive conversation over the next two weeks. We're going to attack 2026 politics, the tough math, percent of Democrats, as well as mayoral politics in New York City.
