This is Gun Talk.

I'm Tom Gresham.

I'm glad that you could be with us.

We're going to be having some fun today.

We're going to talk about some cool guns. We're going to talk about shooting. But, you know,

we're also going to be talking about, well, politics. You can't get away from that. And obviously,

the election and the aftermath and the nominations and everything's going on. But in the middle of all

that, this is important. In the middle of all that, there were some activity going on in Washington, D.C. this past week,

which kind of was flying under the radar, maybe by design.

And our good friend Ryan Klechner was up there taking the beating for the rest of us.

All right, explain what was going on.

What were you doing in D.C.?

Well, the Senate had a hearing that they wanted to cover bump stocks, auto seers that are calling Glock switches.

In my opinion, in the attempt to try and figure how to get some more gun control pushed through,

I hope it was just a waste of time for them because of the political climate and how things are changing. But the timing of the hearing was really unfortunate because they had it right during

the leadership votes for the Republicans. So the entire hearing room was nothing but Democrat Congress senators.
