It is Monday, February 12th, 2024. Let's get into the mix. Here are your Washington headlines of the day.

Number one, Senate Republican Ukraine Hawks dig in. Number two, what will Mike Johnson do with the Senate foreign aid bill? And number three, two big fundraisers for you this morning.

And let's get into it. There is a, well, first of all, let's start with this. Congratulations to

the Kansas City Chiefs. Underdogs in yesterday Super Bowl by, I think, one and a half points, two and a half points.

I think it even got to three points in some places.

But winners win and Patrick Mahomes won.

So congratulations to Kansas City Chiefs fans.

And to those who picked the Kansas City Chiefs in legal online sports gaming,

depending on where you live, but a big victory for the Chiefs.

So all weekend, the Senate was in session, burning the clock on the $95 billion aid package

to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan.

There is no agreement on amendment votes,

in part because of Rand Paul, who has said various things about hell freezing over,

and that's when he would allow a time agreement. So the Senate will hold two procedural votes

tonight at 8.30 p.m. and won't be able to move to final passage until Wednesday at some point.

And some senators are even talking about a talking filibuster.
