Hello from Washington. I'm Chuck Todd, cast. So today we're going to have a little fun and I'm going to borrow a page from sports if you will.

We're joined by the political units of NBC News, Mark Murray, Bridget Bowman, and Ben Commissar.

And we're going to have a draft of the 2024 Senate races.

So here's how it's going to work.

So you can follow along.

We're going to all, we're going to do four rounds.

Each round, you're going to pick a candidate or a party's nominee who you think is going to win a Senate seat and once that

candidate or nominee is off the board then the next person can't take it.

With the first round we're only going to pick from our list of toss-up races.

Rounds two and three, we will only pick from the lean or likely categories,

meaning they lean Republican, lean Democrat, likely Republican, likely Democrat,

but they're the competitive ones.

And then we'll come back for round four with everybody gets to pick a long shot.

Somebody not from the lean likely or toss of categories that they think.

And of course we're going to come back a couple of times throughout the year to see how everybody's

doing and see if people want to drop a candidate to pick up one that wasn't drafted.

So we can have a little bit of fun on that.

And of course we've had a lot of developments over the last couple of weeks,

whether it's new candidates in Montana, a surprise entry in Maryland. We're still in the

window of one more surprise retirement. You never know. I'm looking at you,

Senator Synama. So it is it is likely we will at you, Senator Cinema.

So it is likely we will have some additional shakeups here as the campaign cycle wears on,
