Summary

There has been a rising chorus demanding accountability for Donald Trump and company for their many crimes in violation of federal law. Both Senator Elizabeth Warren and Representative Eric Swalwell are on record calling for a presidential crimes commission or task force to investigate and prosecute Trump. The Boston Globe recently published a six-part series arguing in favor of prosecution the criminal former president as the only way to save our democracy. Justice is a team sport. We The People can't just sit on the sidelines and hope for the best. We must get in the game. One concrete way to do that is to sign a letter/petition that already has been signed by more than 200,000 Americans urging Attorney General Merrick Garland to establish a task force to investigate and, where the evidence supports it, prosecute all crimes committed by Donald Trump and his criminal associates. 0:48.5	frustrated? You know, justice really is a team sport. What do I mean by that? No, we
0:57.4	don't all get to be part of the prosecutorial team that walks into court and
1:02.2	tries Donald Trump for his crimes. Wait a minute, just a happy little daydream.
1:10.2	Okay, I'm back. What I mean by justice is a team sport is that it takes all of
1:19.2	us putting pressure on, keeping pressure on, speaking up, speaking out, demanding
1:26.2	accountability, demanding justice. Pressure bursts pipes and we need to keep the
1:34.5	pressure on primarily our elected officials because they can surely put
1:40.8	pressure on the Department of Justice to move in the direction of accountability, right?
1:46.8	They can hold hearings. They can subpoena people. They can fund or defund certain DOJ operations.
1:56.7	Now some politicians have already stepped up. Recall Elizabeth Warren was one of the first
2:03.8	ones calling for a commission, a task force to dig into the crimes of Trump and company.
2:11.5	Here's the headline from CNBC from some time ago. Elizabeth Warren wants to create a justice
2:17.4	department task force to investigate Trump administration corruption. You may remember
2:25.0	Congressman Eric Swalwell similarly supported a presidential crimes commission. He tweeted
2:32.2	it out. I don't say this lightly. When we escape this Trump hell, America needs a presidential
