Our next guest is one of President Trump's staunchest allies in the Senate.

But that hasn't always been the case.

Back in the 2016 election, Texas Senator Ted Cruz was locked in a bruising primary campaign against then candidate Donald Trump.

Now, four years later, he says it's his face that's allowed him to forgive, and that's how

he's been able to reconcile his relationship with the president

despite the hurtful things that have been said.

On this episode, Cruz speaks to us from what he calls his hideaway on Capitol Hill

because he was in the midst of voting. In fact, twice he had to break

away during our interview so that he could vote. And we're talking to the senator over the
