Yeah, our government is a joke, right?

Now they're voting like to pay people who aren't working.

They're fighting over whether we should pay people who aren't working.

It's like if you're going to pay them, why wouldn't you just have them come back to work?

So some members of Congress requesting their salaries be withheld during the shutdown. And one guy has gone so far that he's working to suspend the paychecks for members of Congress during the shutdown. If you didn't do your job in business, you didn't get paid. You don't show up and do your job. You don't get paid. Why are we getting paid? We shouldn't get paid if we don't do our job. We need to figure out how to work together to get our budgets done. It's as simple as that. So you're going to offer legislation to not get paid during shutdowns? Absolutely. I already have a bill. We've got a bill that we don't get paid during the shutdown. and Ron Johnson's got a bill that will never have shutdowns. That should pass also. But on top of that, what are the Democrats doing? This is a clean resolution. All we're doing is keeping the funding. Actually, the funding is too high. It's still the Biden funding. But I don't want to shut down government, so I support it. But the Democrats,

they want to shut down for whatever reason. How is this good for the country? Nobody wins

with a shutdown. Senator Rick Scott. Okay, that was Rick Scott. So finally, that is the first

person. I don't know if he was a Freudian slip or slip at the tongue moment of lapse of judgment.

He is the first person that I have heard finally admit out loud that all they're doing is

continuing to fund Joe Biden's government, which if they wanted to win the shutdown and win

the American people, that should be their talking point is that we are continuing to fund the very government that

these people all voted for for the Democrat president of the United States. Now, they won't do that

because the Republicans, theme of the day, Republicans being habitual liars and deceivers, don't want

to admit that's what they're doing because they lied to you again last election and promised

to get the spending under control.

But the biggest thing they have in their defense they won't use, which is all they're doing is funding Joe Biden's government.

So now you've got the USDA saying they don't have the $9.2 billion that they would need to keep snap benefits from running out.

And that's going to happen unless the Democrats vote to end the shutdown. that they would need to keep SNAP benefits from running out.
