President Trump's Liberation Day of Tariffs on Foreign Imports has roiled the markets and caused upset across the Atlantic.

My guest this week is one of the few prominent Democrats taking the fight to the Trump

administration with gusto. Mark Kelly's criticism of the president's approach to Ukraine turned

into an ugly spat with Elon Musk, who recently called him a traitor. The senator from Arizona

sits on the Armed Services and Intelligence Senate committees, where he's

been probing senior officials in the administration. A former NASA astronaut and space shuttle

pilot, Kelly also served in the U.S. Navy flying combat missions during the First Gulf War.

Great to have you with us. Now, as we speak, the Trump administration is preparing to impose

tariffs on all imports into the US and intending to levy reciprocal tariffs to match other

countries level on American goods.

There's a lot of uncertainty about the form and the impact that will follow.

But isn't there an argument that this Liberation Day, so-called,

is actually levelling the playing field between the US and its trading partners?

In other words, whether you like Trump or not,

it's overdue. Well, we're going to have to see what he says and then how long he keeps them
