Washington Never Will. Senator John Kennedy, thank you for joining Podforce 1.

I'll just go through quickly your very impressive resume.

You're a lawyer, you're a former state treasurer, you're the Senate's master of the

mic drop moment, born in 1951 in Centerville, Mississippi, raised in small-town Zachary, Louisiana.

You graduated top of your class at Vanderbilt University,

where senior class president earned a law degree from the University of Virginia.

And then you went to Oxford University, where you did your postgraduate degree,

elected to the U.S. Senate in 2016 the same night as Donald Trump.

Yeah.

But you had been for a long time a Democrat.

So we'll talk about that later because that's an interesting transition.

Married to your wife, Becky, for 35 years.

Your favourite pastimes are fly fishing and duck hunting.

And your new book, which is wonderful.
