Today I'm going to give you a behind the scenes look at selling out our first ever retreat

for six figures in revenue. And I don't know if you guys have been following that social media

trend lately. I am loving it. It's all the people posting the carousels that say

something along the lines of social media is fake. Here's what's really going on in my life or here's

what's really going on in my business. And I kind of wanted to bring that energy to this episode because

it's easy to look at that headline, right? Selling out a six-figure retreat and think, wow, that's incredible.

Especially when you hear how quickly the spots went within a week, really, is when we sold out all of the spots once we opened the doors to the public.

But prior to that moment, when we started accepting applications from people in our community. Anyways, I'll get into it

in just a moment. But prior to that, it had been really dead, like totally flopped with our

wait list. And I'm going to get into why I think that happened and what I would do differently

I am not a retreats or mastermind person from the host side of things.

We have never had our own mastermind.

So this, first of all, was a brand new, untested offer. The reason that I wanted to

create a retreat was because I had been getting a lot of inbound questions and interest from

peers, from just random people as well, asking about brand partnerships, sponsorships,

all of the things that we've been doing for the last

two years as a media company. I guess technically longer than two years, but really like that's

our bread and butter for the last two years since we shifted into being a media business.
