So in publishing news, the Penguin Random House and Simon & Schuster merger trial goes on

as the US Department of Justice tries to stop the merger. Now this week, Stephen King testified as a witness for the

government, saying that the merger of two of the country's largest publishers would make it

harder for writers to earn a living, as reported by the New York Times. Stephen King, and this is my

comment, Stephen King has to be one of the only authors in the world who could testify against two of the biggest publishers and still be guaranteed a publishing deal.
