Hello and welcome back to practicing human, the podcast where every day we're getting a little better at life.

0:06.4

I'm your host, Corey Miscara, and in today's episode, we're going to talk about self-trust.

0:12.1

More to come on that in a moment. First, let's settle in together with the sound of the bells. So what I want to talk about in this episode is why self-trust can be so difficult.

0:40.5

I'm not sure if this is something you've navigated, but a common thing I hear from people

trauma responses, all of which is designed to keep you safe, get your praise,

1:52.8

get you connection, get you love.

1:56.0

And so you have this mind-body system, this human form that is swimming in this world, this planet,

2:06.1

sort of just plopped here, trying to figure out how to get these basic needs met,

2:10.8

and all these learnings that happened along the way.

2:13.1

And it shows up as activation.

2:15.8

It shows up as an agitated system.

2:18.5

We feel it in our body.

2:20.1

We feel it as chaos in our mind.
