Summary

February is over — love is out, and self-sabotage is in. This week, the girls are diving into the art of ruining your own life for absolutely no reason. And we’re not talking about basic bad time management — we mean ignoring the love of your life just because, ghosting a potential employer after landing your dream job, and suddenly deciding to “work on yourself” by not replying to friends for three months. Tune in this week to commiserate and maybe walk away feeling slightly less called out — or at least knowing you’re not the only one sabotaging your own happiness.

Hello, hello, hello, everybody.

0:12.7

Welcome back to the What We Said podcast.

0:15.8

Hey, if things are sounding a little clearer over here, it's because I got my antibiotics and I'm living. Well, okay, as I'm talking, I'm like, I still sound a little nasly. But we are in the clear and I am ready as soon as I'm off my period. Oh, not the period hitting right when you're starting to feel better. The antibiotics the same day I started my period. And I was like, I'm so excited to feel better. I was just like, I've been waiting.

0:38.9

I've been edging myself of the day I'm not sick anymore.

0:41.2

I'm like, I'm so excited to feel better. I was just like, I've been waiting. I've been edging myself of the day I'm not sick anymore. I'm like, oh, when I wake up with energy and a clear mind, bitches better watch out. And then I woke up to blood in my pants. I'm like, okay? And horrible cramps. The second this is over, it's over for everyone.

0:54.4

Oh, the second I stop being on my period and I'm antibiotic-free and I'm clear, it's over for you, Ho's.

1:03.3

I'm so happy for you.

1:04.9

Thank you.

1:05.5

Well, don't be happy for me yet.

1:06.6

We are synced.

1:08.1

Really?

1:08.7

We're synced now?

1:09.9

I thought we were before. We were, but then we got off. Yeah, I'm supposed to start a day or two. Nice. You know, things are brewing, starting to feel ugly, starting to feel upset by everything. So that's how I know it's coming. And I looked at my app and they said, two days away, mama. I don't know how you could possibly feel ugly because your skims ad. The second I

1:29.0

saw it, I started doing push-ups and sit-ups. I'm like, stop it right now. Literally in fast motion.

1:34.5

Like, exit the app immediately, sets my alarm for 6.30 a.m. to go to a workout class. But you know,

1:40.9

that's the compliment. That's the spell of the of the period, theal cycle, because I also, the day before my period, I was crying on my way home from, I don't even know where I was coming home from. I'm like, why am I so sad? Like, for no reason. I'm just so sad about something. And I knew, though. I knew. So I was able to kind of like clock out of the depths of

2:02.5

despair because I'm like, I am feeling sad, but I know I'm starting my period tomorrow.

2:06.8

Because this level of like self-doubt sadness and security and just like existential sadness,

2:13.5

I know it will lift. Yes. I know it will lift. It really is crazy that it's just so, I feel like that's what it is for me is like so much self-doubt where I'm just like everything I'm doing is bad. Like I'm not good at anything and then I look at my app. I'm like, hmm. No one likes me. Nothing I'm doing is working. Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Nothing's worth it. I try so hard. I'm not seeing any. And then literally like, fast forward to the week prior. I'm like, I feel so good. I feel so happy. I feel so aligned. I feel very empowered. And then all it takes is a few days off the, off the train. But then we'll get back on. Oh, yeah. I'm happy we are synced more because I don't like when we're off because then when you're really happy, I'm sad and then vice versa. I know. It's hard. It's hard. But you know, you've done good. I feel like you've been complaining about it. Your period lately. Good job. Because I've had many other things to complain about. I can't remember in recent, like in the last month or two. Any complaints? It's because it only comes once a month. True. Like in the last three weeks, I haven't heard you peep. Oh, don't worry. You'll know. Speaking of self-sabotage, actually just being bold is me wearing this all all white outfit on day two of my period.

3:25.9

That is very bold.

3:27.1

Oh, yeah.
