Paul prayed some wonderful prayers that are recorded in Ephesians,

Colossians, Philippians, and it's interesting to me that Paul never, never, ever prays for people's problems to go away.

You can't find a prayer where he prayed for people's problems to go away.

Matter of fact, he prayed that people would be able to endure whatever came with good temper.

I've never had anybody come and ask me, well you will you pray for me that I can just stay very godly during this trial that I'm in.

We all want our problems to go away.

But if you've been around very long, you know they're not all going to go away.

And even if the one you have goes away, there'll be another one that will come.

So I finally stop praying for all my circumstances to change and for the world to change

and I started praying that God would change me.

Come on.

So I would be able to handle, I think this is one of the most important things that we need

to do as a witness to the world is to maybe have some of the same problems they have but still maintain our

joy and our peace and still be thankful and still love God just as much in the valley as we do on the mountaintop.

And when you're having a personal problem, don't ever say, well, God God don't you love me.

Trouble is a promise.

We talk about the promises of God.

Jesus promised us tribulation in John 1633.
