The normal process for a call for service for police, fire, or medics,

some sort of an incident would happen.

You would call Novel 1 or the non-emergency line, talk to a dispatcher.

They would process the call, and then the appropriate units are sent to whatever address or location that was given.

Pretty standard, and that's what usually does happen.

That follows the script of many movies and TV shows, but most people don't think of responders who just roll up on something as they're driving or while they're out on the streets

doing something. This is something that happens pretty frequently and some of the weirdest

or most intense and dangerous situations can start out like this. So for this episode, fortunately

or unfortunately depending on how you look at it, there will be no 911 calls.

Everything that we discussed and played in this episode will be what we call self-initiated incidents.

The first incident we're going to talk about starts out just like I described.

In the normal course of a day, on February 11, 2020,

Lieutenant Jeremy Vaughn of the New Mexico State Police was out on patrol and needed to stop for gasoline. He did so at the corner of State Road 333 and State Road 344 at the Mr.

Gas Mart in Edgewood, New Mexico. Just as he was opening the door, the store clerk, who noticed

his patrol car as he was pulling up, walked up to him and advised him of a potential situation.

She stayed in the back to her down after your time and like I was cooking the bathroom and we sound about a piece of foil all of her.
