In the last episode, we began a three-part series breaking down the

three principles that guide me in life and in blogging. The first principle was wisdom,

and it came in the form of statistics, podcast, and courses. In this episode, I will be diving into the second principle, which is discipline.

Discipline is probably the one area that most bloggers struggle with the most.

As a blogger, you have to have the discipline to focus on the areas that are vital to growing your blog.

I see this struggle most in new and hobby bloggers. They are just all over the place with where they spend all their time. Part of this is because

of a lack of wisdom and not knowing where to spend their time. And part of it is just the lack of discipline for the first year of a new

blog all of your time should be spent on keyword research writing new blog post building links

and posting to pinterest the percentage of your time should be broken down as follows. Keyword research, 30%.

Blog post, 35%, link building, 30% and Pinterest, 5%. There is no reason to try to figure out

how to make money from a blog that doesn't get significant

traffic. The same goes for trying to capture emails. That is putting the cart in front of the horse.

Your big traffic goal should be 25,000 sessions a month. That will allow you to apply for Media Vine ads,
