which was originally released back on November 10th, 2020. And before we get into the production

of this episode, I knew Selena was a big deal, but I really had no idea how big of an artist

that she actually was. This was something that was requested from the early days of

disgrace land by listeners.

And like I said, I knew Selena.

I knew who she was, but I didn't really understand what she meant to her fans.

I was also surprised to learn the shocking details behind the betrayal that was at the center of the story of her death.

Selena died when she was just 23 years old.

This is so sad.

And this whole story is sad.

But it's a story that also is a cautionary tale.

At 16, she was crowned female vocalist of the year at the Tejano Music Awards.

She was the first Tejano artist on the Billboard 200 in 1994, and was second only to Janet Jackson when it came to album sales by a female artist.
