great to have you this is a real treat you are royalty to us just so you know

no thank you I'm so glad I'm royalty to someone. Tell my son.

Well, you know, Melanie, I figured we could, you know, sort of start at the beginning as they say.

And just here, what was it like growing up in in Pennsylvania how did you get

into acting well those are two different questions

uh... um... busted growing up in Pennsylvania was growing up in Pennsylvania, you know, I'm from Scranton, Pennsylvania. So it was a great place to grow up seriously and you know, great friends and you know it was sort of small towny you know

Scrantonians have a way about them as you we kind of know from you know

Joe Biden even you know, Joe Biden even, you know.

So that was a great way to grow up.

But how I got into acting is I, well, I never

wanted to be an actor. But speaking of Scranton, my best childhood friend was working at a major agency at the time

and she had forgotten to send three girls, she needed to send three girls on a talent search for Dick Clark.

And she forgot, and she called me in hysterics saying she was going to get fired.

The agency she was with at the time was called Triad.

They're not in existence anymore, but they were actually very big back then.

And she said she was going to get fired and I had to go.

And I was actually a dancer early on in my into college and she said you know just

just show up dance and I, I'm not dancing anymore.

I had precitis in my left hip.
