Hey, everybody. Welcome to the Rotowire Fantasy Baseball podcast. Today is Thursday, June 3rd. Jeff Erickson here with our good friend, CJ Coltenbach, the Siege from Elite Fantasy Sports.

Jeff, I'm doing great. How are you? Thanks for having me. Of course, of course. I've been looking for this. I can't believe I hadn't had you on all this time. We're talking off air about this, says we've gotten to know each other in the last three, four years.

I'm not as big in the DFS as you.

That's probably why I'm, you know, I haven't,

we haven't, our Venn diagrams overlap, but not by as much as other people in the industry. Yeah, that's a good and a bad thing, you know. It's good so you don't get sick of me too quick, but on the other hand, more Jeff Arison takes are always great. Oh, okay. more puns more puns every once in a while. Something cogent comes out of there every once in a while, too. Let's jump right into it. There's a lot of news going on. Those people that had Alec Minoa, they won the Fab Wars this past weekend. They're like, all right, can't wait to see my guy go. And it didn't work out too well. You got hit around by the Marlins in Buffalo. That might be part of the problem. But what was your take on him? I thought he was a little bit better than I think people gave him credit for it. That Aguilar home run was a really good pitch that a really good hitter just hit for a home run. And those happen at the major league level. And that's part of the adjustment that any pitcher you're going from the minors to the major league is going to happen. Sometimes you throw really good pitches and really good hitters hit them. And I'm not too worried about it long term. I only have one share. But I wasn't too upset about it. I mean, that's just going to happen with any young

pitcher, but I, where did you get him? A tag team with Greg Bligenship. Okay. He was higher on him than I was,

and so we made a keep a modest bid that we thought was at least going to get a second place. It

turned out to be the winning bid, so. Which was? 219, I think. Yeah. One of my main, he went for 145. And our keep him honest bid was too modest. We were like 125. We didn't keep them honest enough, unfortunately. But because I do think yesterday was unfortunate. I think there'll be better times ahead too. I'm not really that discouraged. but i did get him in a l tout wars that's the only place i have them and that's only because we could bid on minor leaguers uh ahead of time i use james anderson anderson's advice said he'll be one of the first and best to get called up judging by where he got assigned um and so i point is always listening to James Anderson.

It seems to work pretty well for me and it has in the past, too.

I got shut out all my NFBC fab leagues, all five of them, really frustrating.

I did try for him pretty hard and two of them just fell short.
