Yes, indeed. And today we toast Kirsten Drysdale of New South Wales, Australia.

Now Kirsten is a journalist for the Australian broadcast company and she decided to do a piece on the New South Wales

Wales births deaths and marriage registry. She was going to air this on her show.

So she just gave birth to a baby boy and it was her understanding that if a baby name was rejected by the registry, they would choose one for you.

Under the rules, quote, the registrar will not approve the name if it's offensive and not in the public interest.

Furthermore, if a name for a baby cannot be registered and a parent should not provide an alternative name, well that's when the registrar may assign a name.

You want to name your kid Hitler? They're going to tell you your kid's name is John.

So with this in mind, Kirsten gave her son a particularly stupid name saying, quote, we were thinking there's no way anyone will think this name's okay.

However, she was wrong.

And now her son is officially named Methamphetamine Rules Drysdale.

Jesus. Oh, man.

Her whole piece was supposed to be, hey, this is how it works.

We tried to name her son Methamphetamine. Her assumption was that they would say no.
