Yes indeed, and today we toast the Murrieta Police Department of Murrieta California.

First, a statement from the Marietta PD.

Quote, on January 1st, the new law went into effect that restricts the how and when law

enforcement agencies in California share suspect photos and

mug shots. The new laws assembly blah blah blah blah blah now prohibit law

enforcement from sharing suspect photos for nonviolent crimes unless specified circumstances exist.

Additionally, the new law requires agencies to remove suspect mug shots from social media

after 14 days again unless special circumstances

exist. The Marietta Police Department prides us all blah, blah, blah, blah. The only

reason they put out this statement is because a lot of people in California

were not aware of this law

but the police department will still post people's mug shots.

The difference in the mug shots that they post now is that all the mug shots
