First, what came out of nowhere?

Well, I was 19. I had my first bike, a 125 Yamaha YBR, and I was cruising down a country road, doing about 70. The fastest that bike would go.

And off of some guy's farm, there was a pack of dogs chasing another dog. I don't know if it was a stray or a female in heat, but that dog was poking it trying to get away from them and ran right in front of me.

Did you hit it?

Oh yeah, smack the dog dead on.

Oh, I'm guessing the dog did not do too well.

You know, it got up and ran off before I was able to get up, so honestly I don't know, but it seemed like it was able to run at least.

How messed up were you?

I did a few cart wheels in the dirt, but I was able to get up. The whole front out of my bike was totally ripped apart. The forks were fine, and the wheel was fine, but all the controls were gone.

Oh, damn. So what about the pack of dogs that was chasing the stray?

It seemed to me that they got scared off from the crash, and so they kind of went back their way, which is what led me to think that it was more of like a stray dog wandered into these dogs farm,

because they all kind of went back to doing their thing.

That's probably good.

As opposed to getting a motorcycle accident and being surrounded by a pack of angry dogs.

It's probably good. I guess you were on a dirt road?

No, it was like a two lane paved road, so oncoming traffic and then me going the other way.

All right, so someone did stop and then see if you're okay.

There's nobody else around. It's pretty dead. There was like, you know, a couple of guys on the side of the road saw the whole thing, and I was like, who the hell is dog with that?

I'm like, we got no idea.
